The example on offer at this auction is a 1968 Fiat 500 L, preserved in its original White 233 color and equipped with a 595cc engine, ideal for an Abarth 595 replica. EXTERIOR The body is generally solid, with some signs of aging and minimal localized corrosion typical of a preserved vehicle. The paint was redone a few years ago and a polishing and detailing treatment has just been completed. The color is the original Fiat White 233. The chrome fittings are generally in good condition with a normal patina of time in line with the rest of the car. A test with a thickness gauge did not reveal any significant collision traces. INTERIOR The interior is original Bordeaux Red and shows some general signs of wear, yet remains complete and usable. The door panels and rear seats are well preserved, though the driver's seat has some tears. The dashboard retains all instruments complete and original, including the standard steering wheel. The soft top has no tears, opens and closes smoothly, and provides good watertightness. MECHANICS Mechanically the car is fitted with the 126A.000 A suffix 595cc engine and was recently restarted after a long period of inactivity. The vehicle is running and can be driven on private roads. The gearbox and brakes are functioning. Given the limited use in recent years, a full service is nevertheless recommended before road use.
