This cap symbolically represents one of the most glorious phases in Ferrari’s history: in 1999 the Scuderia won the Constructors’ World Championship, in 2000 it brought back the Drivers’ title to Italy after 21 years with Michael Schumacher, and in 2001 it cemented global dominance by winning again both the Constructors’ and Drivers’ titles. In 2001 Schumacher achieved his second world title with Ferrari (fourth personal), definitively opening the stretch of five consecutive red world championships. Alongside him, Rubens Barrichello played a decisive role in consolidating the team’s technical and sporting supremacy, contributing fundamentally to the conquest of the third consecutive Constructors’ title. The double-visor design, among the most distinctive and bold ever produced by Ferrari, makes this item instantly recognizable. One visor is dedicated to Michael Schumacher – Driver World Champion 2001 – with the white-embroidered signature and a reflective material; the other is dedicated to Rubens Barrichello, also with a coordinated embroidered signature. On the sides are applied Ferrari patches and a commemorative embroidery that pays tribute to the winning trio 1999–2000–2001. The model is part of the special project “Ferrari Idea,” an initiative that gave rise to some of the most original creations in the official merchandising of those years.
