Femme nue couchée (tournée à droite), 1re planche Pierre-Auguste Renoir

A very fine, clearly defined impression of the second state. This etching belongs to Renoir’s early graphic oeuvre and reflects his sustained interest in the female nude. Dating from a period in which the artist was exploring the possibilities of etching as an independent means of artistic expression, the work reveals his growing engagement with the medium. – The margins with very slight time-stained. Otherwise in good condition. | 1841 Limoges - Cagnes-sur-Mer 1919 | 19. Jahrhundert | Druckgrafik | Nummer: 26x2052
