The Observer of Dreams - Mystical ​Glazed ceramic opera by Federico Alibrio ​Description of the Work The Observer of Dreams is a ceramic sculpture depicting a tawny owl immersed in solemn contemplative quiet. Traditionally tied to the night, to intuition, and to the ability to see beyond the surface of the invisible, the tawny owl becomes here the guardian of the unconscious, a silent figure watching over the world of dreams and mystery. The form, soft yet incisive, captures the gathered and vigilant posture of the nocturnal raptor. The face delicately carved guides the gaze toward a deep and almost hypnotic expression, which seems to peer into the dimensions of the soul. What makes the work extraordinarily dynamic is the color finish: a rich glazing in cobalt blue and ultramarine that fades toward the dark tones of ebony and earth. The glossy, vibrating runs, under light, evoke the immensity of the night sky and the fluidity of the dream, contrasting with the visible tactile quality of the ceramic at the base. The Sicilian artist Federico Alibrio, born in 1995, is always seeking inspiration to grow through new experiences. A graduate in Sculpture in 2021 from the Academy of Fine Arts of Catania, he works with sculpture and painting. He has participated and continues to participate in exhibitions and high-profile cultural symposia, showing commitment and seriousness in facing sculptural practice. "Open-minded people find inspiration everywhere" is one of his philosophical approaches. Reality itself is the greatest source of inspiration.
