Art Deco / Flemish earthenware vase with three handles and distel decor – Faïencerie de Thulin – Belgium, ca. 1920-1930 A three-handled decorative earthenware vase (Flemish pottery / Poterie Flamande), produced during the early Art Deco period in Belgium. The vase features a multicolored, glossy drip glaze (flambé technique) in deep shades of blue and green, combined with ochre-yellow on the interior and orange-brown accents on the body. The body on both sides is decorated with a boldly raised stylized thistle motif. This specific decor is deeply rooted in the Torhout pottery tradition. The base bears the blind export stamp "MADE IN BELGIUM", characteristic of Faïencerie de Thulin production. Material: Earthenware / Faience Period: Ca. 1920-1930 (Interwar) Origin: Belgium (Thulin / Torhout tradition) Decoration: Stylized thistle relief and flambé drip glaze Stamps: Blind stamp "MADE IN BELGIUM" on the base Condition: Excellent. The vase is fully structurally intact, without cracks, hairlines, or restorations. At the upper rim there is a rough edge felt; it is unclear whether this belongs to the original firing process (glaze or kiln fault) or if it is a very flat, historical chip.
