Extremely Rare Fossil Specimen - Ammonite Metalegoceras...

Specimen of Metalegoceras, a genus of ammonite with a distinctly planispirally coiled shell, dating from the Devonian period. The fossil, found in the Timor region of Indonesia, is still in its original matrix. The shell is characterized by a tight, flat coil, typical of this species. The size and morphology of this specimen provide valuable information on paleobiological diversity and the environmental conditions of the Devonian in this geographic area.
