Extravagant Gold Bow as Brooch & Pendant with Coral & Diamonds, c. 1985

This piece of jewellery is a spectacular sight: Because it comes in the form of a bold bow made of shiny yellow gold! The design features a cabochon of natural Mediterranean coral in the center, flanked by two baguette-cut diamonds. With its daring shape and playful, slightly tongue-in-cheek irony for all its splendour, the bow could not be more typical of a piece of jewellery from the 1980s.
