Europhon - Adriano Rampoldi - Table lamp (2) - Idea - ABS - [RARE]

Rare: Beautiful pair of radio-lamps with integrated AM radio produced in the early '70s by the famous Europhon of Milan, on a design by Adriano Rampoldi. The lot represents a unique opportunity for collectors and interior designers. This is not a single piece, but a symmetric pair (ideal as a bedside pair) presented in one of the color variants, rare, chocolate hazelnut color. The cylindrical design blends ambient lighting with vintage electronics. The radio controls (on, volume and tuning of the Medium Wave) are recessed in the base groove via two ribbed wheels. The light, with double intensity, is adjustable with the two front buttons; the half-light requires 30W bulbs. The radio, being AM, while functioning, crackles and no longer picks up stations that are no longer transmitted on that frequency. Features: - Producer: Europhon Milano (Made in Italy) - Designer: Adriano Rampoldi - Model: Cylindrical lamp-radio - Base in molded ABS plastic, junction ring in plastic and/or chrome-plated metal, upper diffuser in white opalescent perspex/acrylic. Conservation and aesthetic state: Both lamps are in generally excellent aesthetic condition, as documented by the images. The ABS plastics are in good condition. Both show on the dome some signs typical of time and improper bulb use. namely, beyond 30W they heat up too much and can deform the ABS plastic. One has a crack on the dome while the other shows fusion marks, but as you can see from the images they are perfectly usable and enjoyable. The lower selectors are original and intact, one of the two has the plug that was replaced over time. Attention: use lamps max 30W and if you use LED bulbs check that they are dimmable otherwise the courtesy light won’t work. A pair really beautiful and rare to find in these conditions and in this elegant, very rare color variant. Missing a screw and the double light must be checked, but the full light is functioning. #Europhon, #AdrianoRampoldi, #SpaceAge, #Modernariato, #VintageLamp, #RadioLamp, #ItalianDesign, #70sDesign, #PopArt, #ABSPlastic, #Perspex, #MilanoDesign, #VintageRadio, #CollectibleRadio, #DesignCoppia, #BedsideLamps, #ArancioneSpaceAge, #RossoVintage, #LuceDesign, #PlasticDesign, #MadeInItaly, #CatawikiDesign, #InteriorDesign, #VintageElettronica, #AmbientLight, #RetroRadio, #AvantGarde, #Modernist, #MidCenturyModern, #RareSet,
