euro - Military medal - 3 × Commemorative Medals for...

It was designed to honor members of the Belgian Defense, both military and civilian, who were deployed during humanitarian missions where there was an armed context or threat. Unlike regular commemorative medals for foreign deployments, this particular decoration has no minimum service requirement; actual participation and exemplary conduct are sufficient. * Awarded to military personnel and civilians of the Belgian Defense who have actively participated for at least 30 days in a foreign mission, peacekeeping operation, or humanitarian/international security operation To be eligible for this medal, soldiers or deployed civilians must meet specific conditions: • Time criterion: Typically one must have served at least 30 consecutive days (or 60 days cumulatively) in the theater of operation under NATO command. • Exception: In the event of early departure due to injury, death, or a specific act of gallantry/distinction, the time requirement is waived and the medal is awarded directly (posthumously).
