Tutte le aste / Altro / Escuela Realista Europea (siglo XX) - Título: Cadaqués desde el mar

Title: Cadaqués from the Sea ㅤ School: European Realist School (20th century) ㅤ Style: Mediterranean landscape realism ㅤ Technique: Oil on panel ㅤ Condition: Condition appears to be stable, with possible signs of aging and use. Circle and artistic influence: Work stylistically related to the tradition of Mediterranean landscape painting developed during the 19th and 20th centuries. The luminosity of the composition, the treatment of the waters, and the portrayal of the coastal architecture evoke the pictorial research of Eliseu Meifrèn and Joaquim Mir, as well as the Catalan marine painting tradition. The work combines descriptive execution with a sensitivity to light and atmosphere characteristic of the Mediterranean landscape. ㅤ Maritime appeal featuring a panoramic view of Cadaqués from its waters, highlighting the town’s traditional architecture and the tranquility of its natural surroundings. ㅤ In the foreground appear two small fishing boats floating on a serene blue-toned sea. One boat has reddish details on its hull and is tied with a rope, while the second is slightly farther away, creating a pleasant sense of depth. ㅤ In the background the distinctive silhouette of a Mediterranean town is visible, formed by numerous white houses clustered around a church that rises above the urban whole. Behind the buildings a wide mountain range rises, in soft blue-green tones. ㅤ The water’s surface shows delicate light reflections that partially reproduce the colors of the houses and boats. The artist uses controlled brushwork and a balanced color palette dominated by blues, whites, greens, and small ochre accents. ㅤ The composition stands out for its serenity, its spatial breadth, and its evocation of the traditional seafaring life of the Catalan coast. ㅤ The work is presented in an elegant dark wood frame, with a wide moulding and stepped profile. It includes an inner ivory-toned strip and a fine gold edge that adds luminosity to the piece. At the bottom there is a small identification plaque bearing the inscription apparently corresponding to “J. Cladellas,” whose connection to the painting’s authorship remains to be verified. ㅤ Observations: The work may have suffered damage during transportation despite proper packaging. In that case, we will require photographs of the damage to proceed with compensation. Customer satisfaction is always our priority. ㅤ Exceptionally, shipping costs may be affected by a surcharge due to reasons such as non-continental territory, oversized dimensions, or weight. PremiArt will not be responsible for this surcharge under any circumstances. ㅤ Customs clearance for shipments to Switzerland can take much longer than normal, so if possible, to expedite processing we will provide the customs number that is holding the shipment so the client can release it and thus reach its destination. Experience has taught us that this is the most effective solution for both parties. ㅤ Due to the high volume of shipments, orders may be delayed by more than three days, for which we apologize and thank you for your patience.
