Loose brushwork, simplification of forms, and dominance of greens, ochres, blues and greys place both compositions within an atmospheric interpretation of the landscape, more focused on visual and luminous impression than on a meticulous description of the surroundings. ㅤ Pair of mountain landscapes painted in oil on canvas. Both compositions depict valleys traversed by waterways, with abundant vegetation, vertical trees and large mountain reliefs that close the horizon. ㅤ In the first work, a river winds from the foreground to the back of the composition, creating depth and guiding the eye toward a succession of mountains wrapped in a grayish atmosphere.
