Escuela Impresionista Europea (siglo XIX) - Paisaje puntillista

Title: Pointillist Landscape ㅤ School: European Impressionist School (19th century) ㅤ Style: Impressionism with pointillist and post-impressionist influences ㅤ Technique: Oil on panel ㅤ Condition: Condition in keeping with its age. Restoration work has been carried out, the extent of which requires verification. The painting surface shows a marked texture of impasto. ㅤ Circle and artistic influence: Works stylistically linked to the chromatic research developed by Georges Seurat and Paul Signac during the final decades of the 19th century, as well as to European post-impressionist landscape painting. The use of fragmented brushstrokes, small chromatic touches, and pronounced impastos recalls the search for the luminous vibrancy characteristic of these currents, although its execution is freer than the divisionist chromatic pointillism. ㅤ Attractive small-format landscape composition depicting a corner rural or urban surrounded by lush vegetation. In the center of the scene a building of traditional architecture is discernible, partially hidden among trees of green, ocher, and reddish tones. ㅤ The painting stands out for its material treatment, with short brushstrokes and abundant impasto that create a surface of great visual richness. The alternation of intense greens, earthy browns and small orange notes builds the depth of the landscape and its particular atmosphere. ㅤ The presence of architectural elements, paths and masses of vegetation suggests a everyday scene observed from an intimate perspective. The predominance of texture over precise drawing lends spontaneity and expressiveness to the whole. ㅤ The work is framed in a prominent baroque-inspired gilded frame, characterized by its considerable width and elaborate ornamental motifs at the corners. The vegetal reliefs, volutes and variations of gold provide a decorative contrast with the reduced dimensions of the painting. ㅤ Observations: The work may incur damage during transport even with proper packaging. In such a case, we will need photographs of the damages to proceed with compensation.
