Title: Female Nude ㅤ School: European Expressionism (20th century) ㅤ Style: Figurative Abstract Expressionism ㅤ Technique: Oil on canvas with a material application ㅤ Condition: Generally good overall preservation. The surface irregularity responds to the material character of the execution. ㅤ Circle and artistic influence: The work relates to European Expressionism of the second half of the 20th century and to informalist and materialist currents that used texture as an independent expressive element. The human figure is reduced to insinuated forms, subordinated to matter, gesturality, and superficial experimentation. ㅤ Vertical composition in which the female figure is suggested through diffuse forms that emerge between layers of paint material. Predominant tones are beige, greenish-gray, and bluish, applied on a surfaces that is intensely textured. Incisions, accumulations, and reliefs introduce an abstract language in which the perception of the body depends more on suggestion than on anatomical description. ㅤ The frame presents a contemporary aesthetic, composed of a wide black profile combined with silver metallic moldings that enhance the modern character of the work. ㅤ Notes: The work may incur damage during transport even with proper packaging.
