Each: Bacchus herm with muscular arms supporting elongated socket with twisted fluting and turned-down rim. Knopped columnar shaft on domed and scrolled foot. Wrap-around and entwined fruiting grapevines. Dynamic and sumptuous for a bibulous dinner. After Paul de Lamerie, the influential Huguenot silversmith. Fully marked including maker’s stamp (Crichton Brothers) and assay stamp (London). Very good condition with deep toning. Overall dimensions: H 14 3/4 x W 7 1/2 x D 7 1/4 in.
