Elegant Ring with Five Diamonds in Gold & Platinum, c. 1940

This ring sets five sparkling diamonds in a horizontal row. Set in angular, carré-shaped settings, the diamonds appear to cover the entire top of the finger. The row shines white without interruption, as the top of the gold ring is covered with a layer of platinum. The gold only becomes visible when viewed from the side with fine engraved ornaments. The ring was created around 1940 and contains a total of around 0.66 carats of old European and transitional cut diamonds. Like its design language, the diamond cuts indicate the period in which the ring was created. Last but not least, the hallmarks also confirm its age, as they were only used between 1927 and 1958. The ring is in very good condition and shows wonderful precision and attention to detail in its workmanship. It came to us from Hamburg.
