Elegant Art Déco "Line Bracelet" with Diamonds & Emeralds, Circa 1925

One of the most typical Art Deco designs is the so-called "line bracelet". As its name suggests, it wraps around the wrist as a constant, narrow line instead of expanding into a lavish display. With its restrained, graphic yet luxurious design, it was ideal for combining with the other geometrically inspired jewels of its time - and indeed, the ladies of the time liked to wear several of these bracelets side by side. This particularly precious bracelet corresponds to this type and is in cool white with green accents. The design places feathers set with diamonds across the band, set off from each other by curved lines of emerald. The hidden clasp gives the bracelet the appearance of being endless and the pattern is repeated ad infinitum In fact, the piece of jewellery consists of narrow, rectangular links made of platinum, which are connected by numerous joints to form a softly flowing band. The sheer number of individual elements is enough to make you marvel at the craftsmanship of the band. The invisibly set emeralds, which are calibrated, i.e. cut precisely into predetermined shapes along the design, are also a technical masterpiece. The hallmark on the catch of the clasp suggests that the elegant bracelet was made in Germany. Based on its design and workmanship, we assume that it was created around the mid-1920s.
