Late Period, Ca. 664 - 332 BC. A faience scarab set in a possibly later silver ring, with the domed back marked by a single-line suture and pronotum separation. V-shaped notches appear along the upper outer edges of the elytra. The legs are incised and naturalistic. The flat base is engraved with the hieroglyphs of the sedge plant and bee, namely the royal title nswt (defectively rendered) bity, "King of Upper and Lower Egypt", enclosed by a single incised line.
