Tutte le aste / Altro / École Française (c. 1920) - La Cathédrale d'Amiens vue de la Somme
- Oil on board. - On the murky waters of the Somme, which return the image of a world on the brink of crumbling, the colossal nave of Amiens Cathedral emerges not as a refuge of faith, but as a formidable mass of spectral stone that swallows the last glints of a burning afternoon. In this landscape charged with an oppressive omen, the ochre-gray sky seems to burn with the will-o’-the-wisp of epidemics or tragedies that lurk behind the crowded roofs of the medieval town. Nothing moves at the quay, not a soul crosses the bridge; only the colossal weight of the temple breaks the silence, lifting its spires toward an indifferent eternity while the stone, gnawed by centuries and wrapped in a patina of impenetrable mystery, contemplates with tremendous majesty how earthly life fades softly in the shadows of the canal. - Framed image dimensions: 40 x 32 cm / 56 x 48 cm with exclusive custom frame. At Montbaron Gallery, we are pleased to offer our clients an exclusive selection of artworks, all of them unique, original and one-of-a-kind. Each piece in our gallery is the result of deep dedication, a creative vision, and masterful technique, features that guarantee its authenticity. The works we sell are not industrial reproductions; they are pieces created individually by renowned artists, each with its own story and essence. Originality is the foundation of our commitment to excellence, and therefore every painting or sculpture that is part of our collection is carefully selected to ensure its singularity. To acquire a work from Montbaron Gallery means owning a unique piece, an investment in creativity and talent that, over time, will preserve its artistic and emotional value. Thus we guarantee that every work that leaves our gallery is a unique piece in the world, with no replicas, and a testament to the innovation and passion of the artists we work with. Certain lots, due to their age and value, require an export permit issued by the Ministry of Culture. Although this is an administrative procedure, it is essential to ensure the authenticity of the work and its free circulation internationally. Montbaron Gallery is committed to offering its clients original, unique and one-of-a-kind artworks, guaranteeing the authenticity and quality of each piece in our collection. To ensure transparency and trust in every acquisition, we offer a digital Certificate of Guarantee, signed by a certified art historian. This certificate certifies that the acquired work has been authenticated by our specialists, who verify its authorship, origin, and state of conservation. The Certificate of Guarantee includes full details about the piece, such as the author, creation date, technique used, and dimensions. The digital Certificate of Guarantee will be issued at the client's request, providing an official reference for the acquired piece. This document will be sent in digital format and will be signed by an art historian from our gallery, ensuring its validity and support. We are committed to the satisfaction and confidence of our clients, so any questions about the authenticity or condition of the work will be handled professionally and diligently. To request your Certificate of Guarantee, please contact us through our usual channels. As experts in the logistics of artworks, Montbaron Gallery is committed to ensuring that each piece reaches its destination safely and in the best possible conditions. To this end, we work with a network of professionals specialized in art transport, who guarantee maximum care throughout the process. It is important to note that the shipping cost prices indicated in the listing are indicative and subject to changes depending on various circumstances. These include fluctuations in transport market rates, changes in the delivery location, the size and weight of the work, and possible extraordinary circumstances such as fuel cost fluctuations or adjustments in customs and import tariffs. The final shipping cost will be calculated precisely based on these factors, and the client will always be informed in advance before proceeding with the shipment. Our goal is to offer the best possible service, tailored to each client's needs and ensuring that the artwork reaches its destination quickly and safely, with no surprises. The frame shown in the previous images has been added to the work by a third party or by the seller, so it is not an integral part of the object. This frame is provided at no additional cost so that, when the work arrives at your home, it can be displayed immediately on your wall. Consequently, no damages to the frame that do not affect the integrity of the work will be accepted as valid grounds for filing a complaint or requesting a cancellation.
