Tutte le aste / Altro / École animalière européenne (XX) - Paysage avec bétail
Interesting painting belonging to the English school, depicting a peaceful pastoral scene featuring several cattle and a peasant figure in a lush rural landscape. The composition is framed within the important British landscape and animal painting tradition, characterized by an interest in nature, rural life, and the representation of livestock. In the foreground there are several cows resting and grazing, accompanied by a rural figure, forming a scene of marked bucolic character. What stands out is the careful treatment of the landscape, built with a rich range of greens, ochres, and earth tones, as well as the play of light that passes through the vegetation and allows the creation of different depth planes. The brushwork becomes especially rich in the foliage and in the treatment of the animals, while the luminous openness of the background contributes perspective and atmospheric depth. The integration of the figures into the natural surroundings and the overall serenity of the composition directly recall the British tradition of rural and landscape painting, offering a work of great decorative appeal and marked Romantic sensibility. The work is presented with an elaborate gilded frame of historicist character, heavily ornamented. The frame is included solely as courtesy to the buyer and is not considered an integral part of the work, so any possible damage to it will not be grounds for complaint. The conservational state is as can be seen in the photographs, which form an integral part of the description. It shows signs of age and use in keeping with its features. It is recommended to examine the images carefully to assess the general condition of the work and the frame, as well as any wear, nicks, small losses, or interventions that may exist. The packaging will be carried out professionally and with care to ensure the maximum possible protection during transport. Shipments to destinations outside the European Union may be subject to duties, taxes, import charges, and customs procedures, costs of which will be the sole responsibility of the buyer. Customs procedures may cause delays compared to the usual delivery times. Shipments to islands, overseas territories, or especially remote destinations may incur additional transport costs. It is recommended to consult in advance the shipping conditions and possible additional costs.
