Ebulliometer - malligand et fils - Brass - 1850-1900 - Ebulloscope

Complete instrument in original, uncleaned condition with patina. Damages / wear: Wooden box with signs of use, small scratches. Brass with green oxidation in places. Glass refrigerant tube with small interior pinpricks normal for its age, but intact and not broken. Original brass alcohol lamp, original wick present with traces of oxidation / dried antique alcohol, not tested. Restoration: No restoration, 100% original. Alterations: None. Original manual from 1878 present. Technical note: Contains mercury. Mercury still present and visible in the bottom reservoir window (see photo), but the column does not rise on the ambient-temperature scale. To be reset by a specialist. Sold untested for collection / decoration.
