Dutch school (XX) - Zomer- en winterlandschap met roeiboot (pendanten)

Two related landscapes by the same hand: a summer view and a winter scene. Summer: a wide waterscape with a low horizon, on the right a birch and undergrowth on the shore, on the water a rowboat with a figure. Winter: snow-covered shore with a walker, in the middle a bare tree, on the water a rowboat. Lightly painted, with incised brushstrokes in the sky and thick clouds and snow. Technique: oil on panel Signature: both bottom-left signed, unclear (read as "Nieweg ... Banis"). We have not been able to link the signature to a documented artist. Period: mid-20th century (estimate based on style and material) Dimensions: each 23 x 33 cm, with frame 29.5 x 39.5 cm Frames: gold-colored with blue edge, of later date, with hanging wire Frames show light signs of use. The photos are part of the description. Carefully packaged and insured shipment.
