This substantial set is heavy, solid cast iron hardware that revolves around one motif: the fleur-de-lis. It appears on every escutcheon, on the ornate edge of the mail-slot plate, and on the door chain. Everything belongs to the same style line, in a Neo-Gothic (Gothic Revival) execution. The surface is grey patinated and rough, with a hammered effect on the handles. Such a complete batch is rarely found together. Interesting for restoration, for a characterful front door, or for someone who wants to outfit a house in one style.
