About the artist: Donald Lipski was born in 1947 in Chicago, Illinois, and lives and works in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He earned his BA from the University of Wisconsin and his MFA in 1973 from the Cranbrook Academy of Art. Solo exhibitions include the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), New York; The Brooklyn Museum, New York; P.S. 1, Long Island City, New York; Capp Street Project, San Francisco, California; The Corcoran Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C.; Miami Art Museum, Miami, Florida; American Academy, Rome, Italy; and the Bawag Foundation, Vienna, Austria.
