ROLEX – ROYAL EMERALD LUXE | Art Chessboard No. 4/30 Between prestige watchmaking, contemporary sculpture and decorative art, “Royal Emerald” is a work conceived as a true collectible object. Its deep green, nacreous white and gold universe stages a majestic mechanical seahorse inspired by the gears of haute horlogerie, at the heart of a spectacular and refined composition. The 40 × 40 cm board, made on Alu-Dibond aluminum, offers a glossy finish that intensifies the emerald hues and golden details. The 32 resin pieces are manufactured, prepared and hand-painted in the artist’s studio. Their twisted, perforated shapes evoke the complex movements of a timekeeping mechanism. The contrast between the green pieces with touches of gold and the champagne-colored metallic pieces gives the whole a luxurious, instantly recognizable presence. This creation constitutes the number 1 in a series limited to only 30 copies. Each work is accompanied by its certificate of authenticity and bears the handwritten signature of KLEINER Dominique on the back of the board.
