Between prestige watchmaking, contemporary sculpture, and decorative art, “Royal Emerald” is a work conceived as a true collectible object. Its universe of deep green, nacre white, and gold features a majestic mechanical seahorse inspired by the gears of haute horlogerie, at the heart of a spectacular and refined composition. The 40 × 40 cm plate, made on Alu-Dibond aluminum, offers a glossy finish that intensifies the emerald tones and gold details. The 32 resin pieces are manufactured, prepared, and hand-painted in the artist’s studio. Their twisted and openwork shapes evoke the complex movements of a horological mechanism. The contrast between the green pieces with touches of gold and the champagne-colored metal pieces gives the whole a luxurious and instantly recognizable presence. This creation constitutes the number 1 in a limited edition of only 30 copies. Each artwork is accompanied by its certificate of authenticity and bears the handwritten signature of KLEINER Dominique on the back of the board.
