Dominique Kleiner - Échiquier d’Art Premium – « Bleu...

Premium Art Chessboard – “Royal Blue” – No. 1/10 – 49 x 49 cm An exceptional piece, conceived as a true decorative art object and produced in a highly limited edition of only 10 copies. The specimen presented is No. 1/10, the first number of this Premium edition. With a generous 49 x 49 cm format, the chessboard combines an aluminum playing surface with an elegant box in noble wood, which adds depth, presence, and a high-end finish. Its graphic composition, dominated by deep blues, white, and gold, gives it a spectacular aesthetic, between traditional chess and contemporary creation. A true artisanal work The 32 pieces are made of resin and then fully hand-painted, one by one. Each relief, each ornament, and every detail receive meticulous painting and finishing work. The shades of blue, white, and gold are applied manually to emphasize the richly sculpted volumes of the pieces. Creating a set of this complexity represents many hours of artisanal labor, from preparing the pieces to the multiple painting and finishing steps. The numerous details require patience, precision, and meticulousness, which makes each copy slightly different and gives it its own character. The board itself fully participates in the artwork: its very detailed central graphic extends beneath the pieces and transforms the chessboard into a decorative composition in its own right. An especially exclusive edition This Premium version will be produced in only 10 copies worldwide. The piece offered at auction is the highly sought-after: No. 1/10 A particularly symbolic number for a collector, as it constitutes the first copy of the edition. The work bears the signature of Kleiner Dominique – Édition Atelier Français, Fécamp, and will be accompanied by its numbered certificate of authenticity. Specifications: Premium chessboard 49 x 49 cm; aluminum playing surface; structure/box in noble wood; 32 resin sculpted pieces; painting entirely hand-done; many hours of work and finishing; limited edition to 10 copies; No. 1/10; certificate of authenticity. Presentation The first photograph is an AI Visualization, created to present the work in a high-end interior setting. The following photographs show the actual work and allow appreciation of the finesse of the manual work, the reliefs of the pieces, and the painting details. This work is an autonomous artistic creation. It is not an official Hermès product, and it is neither manufactured, nor published, nor approved by the Hermès house. A chessboard that goes beyond its primary function to become a true collectible piece, midway between sculpture, art object, and decorative design. By its 49 cm size, its noble wood box, the extreme richness of its hand-painted pieces, and especially its status as No. 1 out of only 10 copies, it represents one of the most exclusive versions of this series.
