Museum-worthy priest and family archive of Father Josef Geoffroy (1879–1931) – Archdiocese of Munich and Freising & Kingdom of Bavaria For sale is an exceptionally complete, over 15-part certificate/archive on the clerical career of Father Josef Geoffroy (born 1879 in Traunstein) as well as his family (including Mindelheim, Kolbermoor, Pfaffing-Biburg, Maisach). Special highlights of the collection: • 2x original autograph of Cardinal Faulhaber (1920 & 1931): Two large-format appointment decrees (Pfaffing-Biburg & Maisach) with his own signatures of Cardinal Michael von Faulhaber (1869–1952) and finely embossed coat-of-arms seals/dry stamps. • Prince Regent Luitpold & King Otto reference (1899): Large university enrollment certificate from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München. • 4x Large ordination certificates (1900–1903): Tonsure, subdeaconate, deaconate and priestly ordination – each completed and signed by Archbishop Franz Joseph von Stein with large heraldic embossing seals. • Kingdom of Bavaria (1917): Official letter from the Government of Upper Bavaria regarding the Highest Decree by King Ludwig III of Bavaria. • Extensive accessories: Several Latin investiture documents (Instrumenta Investiturae for Kolbermoor, Pfaffing-Biburg, Maisach), rare Anti-Modernist Oaths (Professione Orthodoxae Fidei), Primiz authorization from 1903, family obituaries dating from 1879, as well as a personal letter from 1928.
