Dmitriy Permiakov (1983) - Tè Russo

Dmitriy Permiakov – The Poetic Force of Contemporary Russian Impressionism Dmitriy Permiakov is one of the most interesting representatives of contemporary Russian painting, capable of fusing the great Russian figurative tradition with a deeply modern sensibility. His work stands out for extraordinary expressive energy, refined chromatic research, and a unique ability to transform immediate impression into emotional experience. Born in 1983 in the city of Kirov, Permiakov trained at the A. A. Rylov Art College and later graduated from the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture founded by Ilya Glazunov. He is a member of the Union of Artists of Russia and regularly participates in major national and international exhibitions. His painting is often compared to French Impressionism; however, his artistic exploration takes root in the Russian painting tradition. His works are not merely studies of light or landscape, but visual narratives in which every brushstroke preserves the tempo of time, the breath of nature, and the intensity of the human experience. Color, movement, and painting material become tools to evoke deep emotions, combined with a subtle sense of irony and a particular poetic sensitivity. Since 2017 the artist has been working regularly in France, Germany and the United Kingdom, developing an intense dialogue with the European art scene. Since 2018 he has held numerous solo exhibitions on the island of Guernsey. A particularly significant exhibition was the one in which his works were shown alongside those of Auguste Renoir, offering a comparison between the language of historical Impressionism and that of contemporary painting. On this occasion one of his works entered the collection of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Dmitriy Permiakov's works are today preserved in art museums of the Russian Federation and are part of public and private collections in the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Austria, Italy, Luxembourg, the United States, Montenegro, China, Taiwan and in other countries, confirming the growing international recognition of his work.
