Designer Carpet - Loribaft Design - New - Rug - 178 cm - 119 cm

This hand-knotted designer rug from Pakistan presents itself in the characteristic Loribaft design and combines traditional, nomad-inspired motifs with a modern, clearly structured arrangement. The varied pattern bands and the bold, yet harmonious color palette make it a decorative one-of-a-kind piece. In the center sits a rectangular, multicolored patterned field with numerous stylized trees, animals, flowers, geometric symbols and small ornaments. The horizontally arranged pattern strips recall traditional Gabbeh- and Loribaft-designs. A wide dark blue border effectively highlights the central field. The outer areas echo the ornamental design in numerous small squares, plant motifs and geometric shapes. Especially appealing is the contrast between dark blue, rust red, terracotta and turquoise as well as the lighter beige and natural tones.
