DENMARK. Krone (4 Mark), 1701. Copenhagen Mint. Frederik IV. NGC AU Details--Cleaned. Dav-A1287; KM-448; Hede-36; Sieg-17; Schou-6; Kold-149b; Bruun-10523 (mistakenly under Norway). Weight: 18.09 gms. Mintmaster: Christian Wineke, the Younger. Engraver: Anton Meybusch (?). A beautiful example of this rare date, and probably the best in private ownership. While the errata in the 1928 catalogue caught the mistake and re-numbered the coin Bruun-7310a, we have chosen to keep the numbering from the main text, which is also on the Bruun ticket and the NGC holder. Estimate: €2,000 - €2,500. Provenance: From the L.E. Bruun Collection. To view supplemental information and all items from the L.E. Bruun Collection, click here. Please note: Bid amounts do not include VAT. Buyers which are non-VAT registered entities or individuals who take delivery of lots within EU countries subject to margin scheme taxation will be invoiced a VAT charge and a Buyer’s Premium for a total of 27.5% based upon the total amount of the hammer.
