Decorative ornament - Italy - Belle Époque (125 cm.).

Relief decorative panel applied on a purple-toned velvet background, enclosed by a coordinated passe-partout and a black glossy lacquered outer frame. At the center of the panel stands a rich neoclassical-inspired decorative trophy, carved and leaf-gilded. It is formed in the upper part by a fluttering ribbon with a central rosette knot from which hangs the central composition, composed of bands of arms and crossed instruments, among which recognizable elements include vegetal motifs (laurel branches with berries), a brass trumpet, a hilt or quiver element, and acanthus leaves. Good overall condition. The gilding shows a pleasant antique patina with slight signs of wear, abrasions, and small losses along the most exposed edges of the carving. Italy, late 19th century – early 20th century.
