Antique Victorian Leather Hat Trunk (Hat Bucket) – English Style – 1850-1900 – Very good A beautiful, authentic Victorian leather hat trunk, also known as a "Hat Bucket" or "Top Hat Case." This type of trunk was used in the 19th century by wealthy gentlemen to safely transport their precious tall hats during travel by train or coach. Origin and Period: The trunk originates from Europe, in a typically English style, and dates from roughly 1850-1900. The model, the oval shape, and the sturdy construction are characteristic of English leather goods from the Victorian era.
