De Gregorio (XX) - Veduta di Venezia dal Ponte di Rialto

*MASTERPIECE OF ITS ERA* De Gregorio (1955) Majestic View of Venice and Rialto Bridge Large Oil on Faesite (90 x 55 with new elegant frame) painting alone 78 x 43 Impressive and captivating period painting signed and dated by the Italian painter De Gregorio dating to 1955. The work celebrates one of the world's most famous, romantic, and sought-after viewpoints: The Rialto Bridge and the Grand Canal in Venice, animated by a lively scene of gondolas and boats. The painting skillfully fits into the great tradition of Venetian vedutismo, reinterpreted with mid-20th-century material and chromatic sensibility. The rendering of the architecture and the evocative reflections of light on the water make this painting a piece of furniture and collection with extraordinary presence, thanks to its generous dimensions. Historical support: Oil painting on original faesite from 1955 Modern frame of exceptional quality: The work is set in a new gilded frame with a light mat, custom-made. The painting arrives ready to hang, perfectly clean and solid even on the back. Condition: Painted surface: The work preserves its genuine and charming original vintage patina. Noted are widespread and small losses of paint film/ color fading (visible mainly in the sky area) together with some slight scratches/superficial streaks due to natural aging of the protective varnish. Historical value: These imperfections attest to its absolute authenticity and its era (1955). The painting is perfectly enjoyable as is and is enhanced by the beautiful contrast with the new frame, or serves as a perfect base for someone who desires a simple conservational touch-up. The period frame (as a complement) is provided as a decorative element accompanying the work. As this is a vintage object, no responsibility is assumed for any damage, gilding flaking, or wear to the frame during or after sale or transport. Interior design simulation: The photograph showing the painting inside the historic Venetian salon should be considered purely a digital graphical simulation created for illustrative purposes, useful to show the aesthetic and furnishing potential of the work in a refined setting. Commercial value €200/€250
