ew Series – Multiplicity David Law Photographer Artist – Creator of Contemporary Images Multidisciplinary photographic artist, author and musician, David Law develops work centered on gaze, presence and the perception of image in urban space. He first made a name for himself with a series devoted to shop-window mannequins, integrated into the city through a subtle play of reflections and superimpositions. This exploration of gaze and presence gave birth to an art book published in 2021. Later drawn to the singular aesthetics of collectible dolls and Japanese figurines, he continues this reflection by staging them in the streets of Paris and other European capitals. Through framing, light and composition, these inanimate models acquire a troubling, almost living presence, challenging our relationship to illusion and projection. New Series – Multiplicity Multiplicity explores the multiplication of a feminine silhouette to infinity. Repeated, superimposed and absorbed by backlight, the figures become a moving graphic material. Faces disappear, leaving only bodies, shadows and lines. A hypnotic vision where the individual transforms into a multitude. Edition & Manufacturing Each work is offered in a limited edition of 8 numbered copies + 4 artist proof (A.P.), signed by the artist and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. The prints are produced on aluminum with a built-in back mounting. Printed on luminous white vinyl, glued between two aluminum plates, with UV- and humidity-resistant soft laminating, guaranteeing excellent durability, great longevity, color stability and a modern, contemporary rendering. Career Since 2014, David Law has taken part in around twenty contemporary art fairs per year in France and Europe. He is also the official photographer and videographer for several organizers of contemporary art fairs. Parallel to his visual work, he develops authorial and musical projects including 3 novels, a collection of short stories, a graphic novel, a photo book and 5 self-produced CDs. A singer-guitarist, he currently performs with the band FRENZY.
