ew Series – Multiplicity David Law Photographer Artist – Creator of contemporary images Multidisciplinary photographer-artist, author and musician, David Law develops work centered on gaze, presence and the perception of image in urban space. He first made himself known with a series devoted to shop window mannequins, integrated into the city through a subtle play of reflections and superimpositions. This exploration of gaze and presence gave rise to an art book published in 2021. Intrigued by the singular aesthetics of collectible dolls and Japanese figurines, he continues this reflection by staging them in the streets of Paris and other European capitals. Through framing, light and composition, these inanimate models acquire a troubling, almost living presence, questioning our relation to illusion and projection. New Series – Multiplicity Multiplicity explores the multiplication of a female silhouette to infinity. Repeated, superimposed and absorbed by backlight, the figures become a moving graphic material. Faces disappear, leaving only bodies, shadows and lines. A hypnotic vision where the individual transforms into a multitude. Edition & Fabrication Each work is offered in a limited edition of 8 numbered copies + 4 artist’s proofs (A.P.), signed by the artist and accompanied by an authenticity certificate. The prints are made on aluminum with an integrated rear mounting. Printing on luminous white vinyl, affixed between two aluminum plates, with soft UV- and humidity-resistant lamination, ensuring excellent durability, strong long-term resistance, color stability and a modern, contemporary look. Parcours Since 2014, David Law participates in about twenty Contemporary Art fairs per year in France and Europe. He is also the dedicated photographer and videographer for several organizers of contemporary art fairs. Alongside his visual work, he develops a body of work as an author and musician, including 3 novels, a collection of short stories, a graphic novel, a photo book and 5 self-produced CDs. A singer-guitarist, he currently performs with the band FRENZY.
