Tutte le aste / Arte Contemporanea / David Law - Crypto Prince X - Format XL 60x60
Artist Photographer – Creator of Contemporary Images Multidisciplinary photographer-artist, author and musician, David Law develops work centered on gaze, presence, and the perception of image in urban space. He first made a name for himself with a series dedicated to shop window models, integrated into the city through a subtle play of reflections and superimpositions. This inquiry into gaze and presence gave birth to an art book published in 2021. Later intrigued by the singular aesthetics of collectible dolls and Japanese figurines, he extends this reflection by staging them in the streets of Paris and other European capitals. Through framing, light, and composition, these inanimate figures acquire a troubling, almost living presence, questioning our relationship to illusion and projection. New Series – Echo Waves / Echo Visions - A New Reading of Cultural Icons The Echo Waves / Echo Visions series offers a contemporary reinterpretation of cultural icons through an immersive and vibrant pop art aesthetic. Each work rests on a mosaic construction composed of thousands of micro-graphic compositions. From afar, the image reveals a recognizable figure, while up close it unveils a richness of visual details. Each fragment acts as a “wave,” evoking the artistic universe of the subject depicted. The creation process is long and demanding, requiring precision and mastery of graphic tools. Thorough work is done on colors, light, and the overall harmony of the image. Everything is created in an original and independent manner. Edition & Manufacturing Each work is offered in a limited edition of 8 numbered copies + 4 artist’s proofs (A.P.), signed by the artist and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. The prints are produced on aluminum with a built-in back mount. Printing on luminous white vinyl, mounted between two aluminum plates, with flexible UV- and moisture-resistant lamination, guaranteeing excellent durability, long-term stability of colors, and a modern, contemporary look. Career Since 2014, David Law participates in about twenty Contemporary Art fairs per year in France and Europe. He is also the designated photographer and videographer for several organizers of contemporary art fairs. Parallel to his visual activity, he develops an author’s and musician’s career including 3 novels, a collection of short stories, a comic book, a photo book, and 5 self-produced CDs. A singer-guitarist, he currently performs with the band FRENZY.
