Daum - Sculpture, Paon perché - 12.5 cm - glass paste - 1985

This magnificent animal sculpture is a creation in the “neo-Art Nouveau” style, made in glass paste by the prestigious French manufacture Daum. It depicts a peacock perched on a stylized stand, probably a stump or trunk of a tree. It belongs to the contemporary decorative naturalist productions of the crystal maker Daum, renowned for its pâte de cristal creations. Dimensions: 12.5 cm in height, about 9 cm at its widest width Weight: 281 g Circa: 1990-2000 Signature: “Daum France” Note the finesse of the plumage, the turquoise tones and pale yellow hues, and the transparency of the material. The meticulous work of the sculptor is evident in several details: - The head and neck: the head carriage is elegant, with a small crest characteristic of the peacock. - The wings: the feathers are carefully individualized and arranged in several rows. - The tail: particularly spectacular, it forms a large, openwork curve, with abundant plumage that descends almost to the floor. - The colors: a deep turquoise dominates the tail, while the body and wings show lighter, almost opalescent yellow nuances. - The surface: mainly satin and slightly grainy, with brighter reliefs that catch the light. The sculpture has a naturalistic and decorative style, with a particularly slender and dynamic silhouette. The piece is in excellent condition and will make a magnificent luxurious decorative element for your interior. Extremely well-protected, meticulously packaged shipment!
