Dantorp - Candleholder - Brass

Dantorp Design – Set of 2 Danish brass candlesticks – Danish Modern – Vintage - Mid-Century period An elegant and characterful set of two vintage brass candlesticks from Dantorp Design, Denmark, executed in a refined Scandinavian modernist design. The candlesticks have a particularly sculptural design with two levels. The wide round base flows into a slender, beautifully profiled central stem, with above it a second brass dish and the goblet-shaped candle holder. The different rounded shapes and the vertical line create a nicely balanced silhouette. The design closely aligns with the principles of Danish Modern and Scandinavian Design: clear lines, functionality and a strong emphasis on material and proportion. The warm brass gives the sleek form a rich and decorative appearance at the same time. The candlesticks are deliberately offered in their original, unrestored vintage condition. The brass has developed a natural patina over the years and shows signs of use, superficial scratches, age spots and locally some sticker residue. The candlesticks have not been polished or intensely cleaned. This preserves the authentic patina and the new owner can decide whether to retain this vintage look or have the brass re-polished.
