Credenza - 60s sideboard in mahogany with a glass top

Important sideboard from the 1960s, characterized by a refined design that combines the decorative taste of Art Deco with the elegant lines of Italian modernism. The piece stands out for the splendid mahogany burl veneer, with deep and sinuous grain, arranged with a striking geometric herringbone effect on the doors. The sculpted profile of the structure, the rounded corners and the slender legs give the sideboard a harmonious and refined appearance. The upper green glass top, decorated, represents a detail of great charm, further enhancing the piece's elegance and creating a refined chromatic contrast with the warm, dark tones of the mahogany. Particularly notable are the brass handles, finely worked, which embellish the five doors with artisanal details. The brass end caps at the base of the feet elegantly echo the metallic finishes, contributing to the overall aesthetic balance of the ensemble. The internal layout is practical and functional: behind the left and right side doors there is an internal shelf, while the central door hides four sturdy drawers, ideal for organizing cutlery, table linens and other items. A sideboard of remarkable presence, where the richness of the burl, the peculiarity of the green glass top and the care given to the brass finishes create a bold, personality-filled ensemble. A piece with strong aesthetic impact, ideal for furnishing an elegant dining room, a refined living area or an eclectic environment, where the charm of vintage can dialogue with contemporary elements. A piece that stands out for materials, decorative details and character, becoming the unquestioned protagonist of the space. Shows normal signs of wear due to age and use, the piece has been oiled and shellac-polished.
