• Title: “Les vieux amants” - XXXL • Artist: Cosmin Marian Guta • Year: 2026 • Technique: Mixed media on canvas, pastels, ink, oil and acrylic on canvas * Painting dimensions: 133x175 cm painting * Total fabric dimensions: 143x185 cm (with about 3-4 cm of free space on each side to frame) * SHIPMENT WITHOUT FRAME • Style: Contemporary, in which I use mixed media and organic matter which, when manipulated, takes on a tactile quality reminiscent of human epidermis. The surfaces of my works become skins that breathe, scar, erode and transform. They are sensitive maps where memories, marks and silences are inscribed. I am interested in that crossing point between the physical and the symbolic, where matter seems to have a life of its own. • Shipping: Packed and boxed in a cardboard tube • Signed on the front of the canvas • Note: Colors may vary slightly compared to the photographs • The work is unique. ***The artwork will be shipped in a cardboard tube, with a tracking number, via an internationally known courier company, for example (FEDEX, UPS, TNT) *** Description The work Les vieux amants represents an intimate and passionate scene between two lovers who are embracing, united by a bond that seems to transcend time. Through an expressive composition and a palette of intense colors, the painting conveys a sense of deep love, tenderness and complicity. In the center of the work, two figures merge in an embrace. The woman, with her eyes closed and her face slightly tilted, surrenders to the contact of her partner, while he holds her with delicacy. Their entwined bodies evoke closeness, trust and the intimacy of a relationship built over the years. Their posture suggests that even after the passage of time, love retains its ability to move and to arouse emotion. The use of colors plays a fundamental role in the composition. Warm tones, such as orange, yellow and red, convey passion, vitality and warmth, while blues and violets provide depth and create a contrast that enriches the scene. The broad, free and dynamic brushstrokes seem to envelop the characters, as if the background were an extension of their emotions. The title, Les vieux amants, invites reflection on the permanence of love in the face of the passage of time. The word “viejos” does not refer to age, but to shared history, to memories and to the feelings that grow stronger with the years. The work suggests that passion does not belong exclusively to youth, but can transform into a deeper, calmer and more enduring form of love. Ultimately, this painting is a celebration of lasting love. Through the embrace of the protagonists, the vibrant colors and the strength of the brushstrokes, the work conveys the idea that time can transform love, but not necessarily extinguish it. It is a poetic representation of intimacy, fidelity and the beauty of continuing to love one another despite the years.
