Console table - Wood - Chinoiserie lacquer sideboard and display table

Console in Rococo style with rocaille decoration and Chinoiserie panels, in carved wood, black and gold lacquer, with raised Oriental scenes and legs with a Rocaille-inspired sinuous form. Probably produced later as a reinterpretation of 18th-century French models. The scenes depicted recall the decorations found on Coromandel furniture and Chinese lacquers exported to Europe between the 17th and 18th centuries. Legs in Louis XV/Rococo style, relief-carved panels with Oriental scenes, black lacquer finish with gilding, with an extremely decorative taste typical of 18th-century chinoiserie. The item requires consolidation work on the front left leg, small missing parts, and requires conservative restoration. This piece of furniture is a fusion of Oriental and European influences, with a strong decorative component to become a striking scenographic furnishing element. Height 84, depth 40, width 73 The first photo is AI-enhanced The item is available for pickup in Milan.
