compulsion gallery 1:12 - Model sports car - Aston Martin - DbR1 LE MANS

Up for auction is a fascinating and heavy solid pewter sculptural model (fine-cast pewter) produced by the renowned British art house Compulsion Gallery. The piece recreates with a splendid aerodynamic and modernist style the legendary Aston Martin DBR1, the car famed for its historic victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1959 with Carroll Shelby and Roy Salvadori at the wheel. The sculpture stands out for its fluid lines and the evocative mirrored metallic finish, enhanced by the detailed driver inside the cockpit and the race number 5 engraved on the bonnet. The base at the bottom features the characteristic rough base that attests to the brand’s artisanal casting. A superb display piece with great visual impact, perfect for enriching a collection of automotive memorabilia or as an exclusive design desk or shelf ornament.
