COLOMB (Denise). — Some Reflections on Paris. Paris, Marval, 1989. Oblong 8vo (approx. 22 × 24 cm), paperback, white illustrated cover with flaps. Text by René Pons. First edition, illustrated with 39 black-and-white photographs by Denise Colomb devoted to Paris, focusing in particular on reflections, water, cobblestones, and fragments of the urban landscape. The BnF confirms the 1989 Marval edition. A copy from the regular print run. The photographs present a Paris quite different from that of traditional humanist photography: Denise Colomb focuses on surfaces, puddles, reflections, and irregularities in the cobblestones, transforming ordinary elements into almost abstract compositions. Condition: good copy; slight signs of wear and dirt on the cover, interior appears very fresh.
