Dollar Steamship Lines and American Mail Line. Group of eleven vintage trans-Pacific passenger guest list pamphlets, circa 1920s-1930s. The paper pamphlets feature two distinct cover designs: ten examples with an Art Deco-style illustration of a seated woman in Southeast Asian attire playing a harp against a starry sky, and one example with a vibrant color illustration depicting Asian architectural landmarks, including pagodas and a stupa, above silhouetted figures and animals. The covers are printed with the title GUEST LIST and the company name DOLLAR STEAMSHIP LINES. The rear panels contain a directory titled Offices and Agents, with a list of international locations including San Francisco, Seattle, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Singapore. Printed marks on the reverse include DOLLAR STEAMSHIP LINES / ROBERT DOLLAR BUILDING SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA and AMERICAN MAIL LINE and / DOLLAR STEAMSHIP LINES. Credits are given to HUGH MACKENZIE, Vice-President, Passenger Traffic. These are U.S.A. printed items. Eleven items total. Dimensions: See Desc.
