Collection of 21 irreplaceable Nymphalidae from 5...

An exceptionally complete and rare museum drawer from the renowned Vestergaard collection. This original drawer (30 x 40 cm) contains 21 carefully selected day butterflies from the Nymphalidae family, collected between 1971 and 2001 at a wide variety of locations around the world. Why this lot is unlikely to appear again: Complete original drawers with documented provenance from this period are almost never offered anymore. Each specimen bears its original handwritten label with locality, date, altitude, and the collector's name - crucial for scientific and collecting value. The diversity is immense: from the purple emperor in England to the metallic blue Eunica from Cameroon and the Apollo from Iran.
