A collection of vintage maritime and travel ephemera focusing on voyages between the United States and pre-revolutionary Cuba, circa 1930s. The grouping includes a promotional brochure for the SS Oriente titled The Oriente IN HER NEW GLAMOUR, describing the vessel as the BLUE RIBBON SHIP OF TROPIC SEAS. The brochure is marked for the CUBA MAIL LINE, an AGWI Lines Company, and bears an ink stamp for ELIZABETH ARNOLD TRAVEL SERVICE of Oklahoma City. The lot features an assortment of postcards, including five black and white and sepia-toned examples from the Souvenir of Cuba series depicting ocean liners entering Havana harbor, including the SS President Monroe, the SS America, the SS President Van Buren, and the yacht Sea Cloud. Also included is a color postcard of Morro Castle and a black and white photograph postcard with a handwritten annotation on the reverse regarding the Tiscornia Immigration Camp in Havana. A passenger ticket for the Key West - Havana Automobile Service for the vessel City of Havana completes the collection. One postcard bears a postmark from Habana dated July 17, 1934.
