Coat rack - Veneered oak

Very beautiful wall coat rack from the 1950s or 1960s of the last century. The coat rack is approximately 70 cm wide, 22 cm high and 24 cm deep. It weighs about 2.2 kg. The chrome-plated tube frame is mounted on an oak veneered panel, probably plywood. The hat rack and the tubes with the small hooks are made of chrome-plated steel, with the tube to which the hooks are attached capped with black plastic caps. The chrome is still in very good condition. Here and there there are marks and pits in the chrome, but these are normal signs of use and age for objects like this. Very nice are the four chrome balls with which a number of connections of the coat rack are screwed on (see photos). This gives the coat rack a chic appearance. The shape and also the size give it a bit of the look of an old-fashioned railway cloak rack. The tubes of the hook rack are very nicely capped, which gives the whole a tidy appearance. Not only the chrome and the plastic caps are in good condition, the oak veneer shows hardly any signs of use. All in all this coat rack is a very beautiful vintage piece of furniture that is a functional ornament on the wall in any interior! The style of this coat rack you could call Art Deco. It is indeed a typical vintage coat rack. This coat rack fits very well in a classic interior, but also in a more modern environment. With the beautiful combination of the oak wood and glossy chrome it is a jewel in any house! The coat rack is carefully packed and insured for shipment.
