H. 62 cm – W. 3.5 cm Exhibition & Publication: - Casse-Tête II - Clubs & Weapons of Oceania, Meyer Gallery, 2022, pp. 34–35. This short club is adorned with a crocodile head. This weapon was likely converted into a police baton during the colonial era, as it bears the engraved name of its owner: “L CPL PETRUS ” (Lance Corporal or Private First Class—Petrus (from Saint Peter) being a name often given to converts in Papua).
