“Cloud Pile” - 6 cm Extra-Long Luxury Wool Pile - From...

Cloud Pile – a particularly handmade Moroccan Berber rug This is not an ordinary wool rug. The most striking feature is the exceptionally long pile of about 6 cm. The very soft wool forms a rich, full texture that gives the rug almost the appearance of a soft wool cloud. The rug is completely handmade, wool-on-wool, giving it a particularly natural and artisanal character. The ivory/creme-colored base is subtly broken up by fine pink geometric lines. This keeps the look calm and refined, while the soft color accents add warmth and personality. The geometric lines can be associated within the broader Amazigh/Berber textile tradition with ideas such as connection, protection and life rhythm. The exact meaning of motifs, however, differs per region and weaver. What makes this piece especially special is the combination of volume, softness and simplicity. The long pile gives the rug an almost sculptural look and ensures that the light and the texture continually subtly change. A unique handmade piece that comes into its own beautifully in a modern, minimalist, Scandinavian, boho or warm interior.
