Clock Vienna Secession - Art Nouveau Stucco - 1900-1910 - Wiener Werkstätte

A special, rare clock made of stucco—a combination of plaster and stucco. The top is richly decorated with gold-colored leaves and organic patterns. The rays around the dial and the grid pattern at the bottom exhibit the clean, geometric vocabulary the Wiener Werkstätte was known for (circa 1905–1910). The deep red, textured panel at the base forms a vivid contrast with the patinated gold of the case. The movement is of French import, something more common in Austrian clocks. The movement needs to be checked; it runs but stops. On the back of the clock there is a blind stamp of Franz Siegl and another stamp that I could not determine. Despite its fragility, the clock is in good condition with light signs of wear.
